More snow is coming each week and ski season will be here very soon!

Guye Cabin is a great place to go in to warm up after a day snowshoeing or skiing. Last season it was open from Wed thru Sunday each week.

All Cabin fees go back into providing electricity, water, and heat for the cabin. As well as maintenance and improvements!

Guye Cabin is looking better than ever and is in great shape!

Look at all that wood we have ready for the winter!

Split, stacked and dry!

Volunteers hauled many loads of wood up over the year. Jim Mossman started splitting and stacking the wood in March! The work continued over the summer and fall. About 20 people participated in the year's wood chopping!

Don't forget about the New Snow Dinner !!!
Saturday December 11 at 5 pm

Come up for the day! Spend the night! Nick and Stephanie Nichols will cook up a Chicken Teriyaki as the main course. Everything else is potluck. Bring Appetizers, salads, vegetables and deserts! This is a fundraiser $3 each for ages 13 and up! Under 13 is free as usual!

This is always a fun time to kick off the new ski season!

This will be the third year in a row they have volunteered to head up the New Snow Dinner! Thank you Nick and Stephanie!!!! Woohoo!

Mike transplanted three trees from the ski hill to the bare spot in front of the pumphouse.

Two firs and a spruce.

We'll want to do many more to create a buffer between the road and the Cabin.

The weather is always great at Snoqualmie Pass! Well, usually!

Want to get signed off to open or close Guye Cabin on your own?
It's easy! Just volunteer at least one full day in some capacity for the Club! This could include participating in a Cabin Work Party, being an instructor for the climbing class, serving on the WAC Board, or as Conservation Chair or First Aid Chair.

Kendall Peak with it's winter coat of snow.

Things to do in the winter at Snoqualmie Pass?

Alpine Ski, Telemark Ski, Nordic Ski, Snowboard, Snowshoe, Sled, Backcountry Ski, play chess!

Guye Cabin was originally built in 1932 by a bunch of volunteers just like us. Several additions were built over the years. The work has always been done by work parties of Club members! We are working hard to make sure that maintenance and needed repairs are done to keep the Cabin in top condition. Our Cabin deserves our respect and care! Remember, 2007 is the 75th anniversary of Guye Cabin!

When you visit the Cabin:

Don't forget to sign in the Cabin Log Book! This is a historical record of the Cabin and it is fun to look back and see the work parties of years past!

Pay your Cabin fees.

Also, introduce yourself to everyone, relax, enjoy some fellowship, and have a great time!
