Guye Cabin is looking great! It came through the winter with very little damage. Only a few shingles, and a couple of pieces of siding will have to be replaced.

Doug and Marie Campbell and their guests stayed overnight last weekend. They left the cabin spic and span! Thank you! Bill, Donn Knox, Les Sargent, and others have been up to work and relax.

Summer is a great time to stay at the Cabin! Access is easy and you might even have it to yourself! The Cabin is a great place to base for hikes and climbs in the Snoqualmie Peaks!

What are we going to do at the June 12 Work Party??
Here is a list of things that might happen!
Paint the Family Room
Paint the outside red and green
Caulk all the outside windows
Clean all the windows with glass cleaner
Split and stack wood
Carpentry projects- replace some steps, and trim some doors and windows.
Build a closet, Close in the Garage door
Carpet the hall and upstairs dorms

We'll have a cookout for lunch, bring stuff for burger or hotdogs and a dish to share!
Several folks will stay overnight

This month's poster boy for the ditch is ... Pat O'Brien!

Pat is pointing to the broken joint that has caused Bill Hooper so much disconcertion!

Also:

The Cabin is need of firewood and kindling. If you have burnable wood you need to get rid of, just bring it up! Donate it to the Cabin!

We have a big pile of split wood ready to be carried in and stacked! Thanks Jim Mossman!!!

There is also a big pile that needs to be split!

(All of this wood was hand carried or wheel-barrowed from the road, and across the ditch!)

When you visit the Cabin:

Don't forget to sign in the Cabin Log Book! This is a historical record of the Cabin and it is fun to look back and see who was doing what on May 23 in years past!

Also, introduce yourself to everyone, and relax!

There is always something fun going on inside and outside! Have you seen the WAC swing, and swimming hole? Ever played horseshoes?

Les Sargent running the electric to the Fire Sprinkler system.

Les was again up over the weekend to continue upgrading the cabin's electrical.

Support Guye Cabin! Pay the annual fee, and never have to worry again! We are making many improvements!

What is this?

Chef Nelson's garden! Yes, the WAC even had their very own Chef!

Originally planted in 1932, the rhubarb still comes back each year!

There are five plants starting already!

I wonder what else would grow there?

Do you know what this flower is? Cynthia says it is a Trillium!

It is a Western or White Trillium, a cherished springtime flower. Sometimes mistaken for Avalanche Lilies!
