A lot has been going on at Guye Cabin! Great food, conversation, games and fun! Lots of folks stayed over all the way from last weekend. The Lobdell family were up for a few days. Paul, Greg, and Barbara brought the entire family. The cabin was shining and sparkling when they left!

We were lucky to have many folks at the cabin for the first time, including Bert and Joanna's new daughter!

Spending the night? Invest in a 20 degree bag, or bring a couple extra blankets to make sure you sleep warm. Remember the cabin dorms are not heated, and it has been in the 20's outside.

Tim Sargent beat Mister G in Scrabble!

Missing and unaccounted for? Archie Brenden. Was it because of the pumpkin pie?

Coming up for Ski for all, or to spend the day? The cabin will be open at least from Friday after work until Sunday at 4 pm every week of ski season. Taking the telemark class and want to stay over Wed night? There are a couple of folks tentative already.

Don't forget to sign in the Cabin Log Book! This is a historical record of the Cabin and it is fun to look back and see who was doing what on Dec 27 in years past! (There is also a payment sheet and chore sheet)

Also, introduce yourself to everyone, and relax!

There is always something fun going on inside and outside!

Ira Rushwald, and his son, a student at University of Colorado at Boulder, get ready for a backcountry ski trip up to Cave Ridge. Doerte is getting ready to head to Alpental.

Sunday morning the snow was piled up over the windows!

Have you ever seen it this high before New Years?

George and Mike moved the snow away from the windows and shutters.

Les Sargent busting trail to the bunny hill. Behind Les, the future WAC Backcountry class is already practicing making snow caves! And this was before it started snowing late Saturday!

Allright! Lets go snow-boarding!

Look at that big cornice on top of the Porch Roof!

Sunday scene at Guye Cabin after 12 inches of the lightest fluffiest driest champagne powder fell overnight!

Eldon, Tami, and Mike shoveled the path and stairs. Les said sometimes he liked shoveling better than skiing!

Remember Fred Beckey, the lost/abandoned Jack Russell Terrier? The story had a happy ending. Doerte, with help from Mister G, was able to locate the dog's owner. Apparently he had chased a bushy tailed wood rat all the way from North Bend to Guye Cabin! That is more than 20 miles! Doerte has now arranged to have animal welfare check on him once in a while since his owners are suspect! Thanks to everyone that offered to adopt him! And the bushy tailed wood rat? He was last seen at the Alpental bridge!
